Introduction: The Power of the Pivot
Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, from personal challenges to professional crossroads. There is not one person that is exempt from these moments. These moments of disruption can feel overwhelming, but they also hold immense potential for growth. These moments might feel like eternity, but in the grand scheme of things, they are just moments in time that will pass by. Whether it’s your career, relationships, or spiritual journey, the key to thriving lies in your ability to pivot, adapt, and stay teachable.

In this blog, we’ll explore practical ways to embrace change, backed by biblical wisdom and real-world strategies, to help you grow spiritually, personally, and professionally. Let’s dive into how you can trust the Father’s plan, stay flexible, and learn from every experience. Are you ready to grow? Are you ready to change your perspective and allow your mindset to be transformed? Let’s go!

1. Recognizing Divine Disruptions

Sometimes, life feels messy, because we get all in our feels, don’t we? It’s hard to tell whether the chaos is random or a part of The Father’s plan oftentimes - especially when we are in our feels. Divine disruptions or divine interventions are often His way of guiding us toward growth.

As Isaiah 30:21 reminds us:
"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right or the left."

Tips to Embrace Divine Disruptions:

  • Take time to reflect: Journal your thoughts and pray for clarity.
    • Sometimes brain dumping is a great way to release everything so that you can get the clarity and the peace that you are looking for.
  • Look for the fruit: Is your current situation producing spiritual growth, good works, or stagnation? You might always want to analyze the type of fruit that is being produced.
  • Seek wise counsel: Surround yourself with mentors and accountability partners who align with your faith.
    • Not everyone is your trusted counsel so choose wisely!

2. Staying Adaptable Without Compromising Your Values

Adapting to change doesn’t mean compromising who you are.

Paul’s example in 1 Corinthians 9:22-23 teaches us how to be adaptable for a higher purpose:
"I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel."

Practical Steps to Stay Adaptable:

  • Embrace innovation: Find new ways to approach your business, relationships, or spiritual practices while staying rooted in The Word.
  • Let go of old methods: Make room for what Yahuah is doing in your life by releasing outdated ideas or habits. The main goal is to always be rooted in His Truth. Ask yourself often - are you in the faith?
  • Test everything: If a decision doesn’t align with Scripture, pause and pray for discernment. Then wait for confirmation and direction.

3. Cultivating a Teachable Spirit

Growth isn’t possible without a humble, teachable spirit. Proverbs 27:17 reminds us:
"As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend."

Ways to Stay Teachable:

  • Welcome feedback: Even when critique stings, ask, "What can I learn from this?"
  • Fail forward: Every mistake is a stepping stone to growth—learn and move on.
  • Seek wisdom: James 1:5 encourages us to ask The Father for guidance, knowing He gives generously to those who seek Him.

Homework: 3 Steps to Start Growing Today

  1. Journal Your Pivot Points: Reflect on areas in your life that feel stagnant or challenging. Ask Yah for guidance and clarity.
  2. Seek a Mentor or Accountability Partner: Reach out to someone who aligns with your faith and values to support you in your journey. Pray for the right person - this is key. We cannot seek wisdom from just anyone.
  3. Try Something New: Whether it’s learning a new skill, networking, or trying a fresh approach in your business, take a step outside your comfort zone this week. It is always a good day to stretch yourself. Taking a leap of faith will cause us to grow in so many different ways.

Conclusion: Trusting the Potter’s Hand

Jeremiah 18:3-4 paints a powerful picture of Yah as the potter and us as the clay. Let Him shape you, even when the process is uncomfortable. Every pivot, challenge, and season of waiting is preparing you for something greater. Stay adaptable, stay teachable, and trust that He is working for your good.

Remember: The road to growth isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress, faith, and flexibility.
